Worlds End State Park Camping Trip - Day 7

 Friday, June 23, 2023

Friday was a day of misty rain followed by intermittent showers. We drove back to Forksville to fill up on gas and visit the Bear Mountain Trading Post, where we got some chuckles out of the snarky signs displayed throughout the antique/variety store.

Wooden block painted white with the words "The chains on my mood swing just snapped. Run" painted in black.

On the way back to the campground we finally spotted the Vinegar Run waterfall, so pulled to the side of the road to snap a photo. We’d passed by it several times during the week without spotting it, but this time we found it. It wasn’t completely dry, so we snapped some photos and returned to the campground. We spent the rest of the day relaxing, writing up our adventures for the blog, and getting ready to leave the next day for our next adventure.

Water trickling down moss covered rocks, forming a very small waterfall.

We loved our stay in Worlds End State Park and the Loyalsock State Forest. There is so much to see and do for nature lovers like us. We definitely plan to return some day so we can explore even more of this beautiful area, perhaps in the fall when we can enjoy the fall colors. This area would be perfect for that!
